Out of curiousity, can a non-reporting MA CPA signoff on experience for CPA?

How about those non-cpa license but cpe certificate holders in the two tier states that grandfathered in?

What's an MA CPA? I believe only licensed, at time of experience, cpa can sign.

I was just looking at this the other day. It's to my understanding that a valid, actively licensed CPA is the only person who can sign off on the form, regardless of all other circumstance.

A non reporting CPA is a CPA license in every sense except the CPA may not sign off on financial statements because they haven't met the state of MA attest experience requirement. I doubt a non reporting CPA can sign off on attest experience but if an applicant is in a state that doesn't specifically require that the experience is in the attest function it may be possible. Best to check with the state board.
