Can I scan CPA congratulatory letter?

    Hey guys,

    The only title says it all, can I scan it or void would appear on it?

    REG ... Passed
    FAR ... Passed
    BEC ... Passed

    Passed all sections between 5/15 - 10/15 order AUD REG BEC FAR (used Becker only)

    I made a copy of mine (didn't want to submit the original) and void printed in the back ground on the paper(like a watermark). But I still submitted it to my employer and nobody said anything. I think it's to prevent anyone else from making a copy and writing there own name on it.

    Well, I found a safe way, scanned it with an iPad app to work around the watermark.

    REG ... Passed
    FAR ... Passed
    BEC ... Passed

    Void markings should not matter, as any employer would recognize that some states put these types of watermarks and such on documents.

    It's no different than when recruiters ask for transcripts after you sign your offer… “unofficial” ones are fine, since at the end of the day you are making a representation. Also, a background check in the future will reveal what the university says you earned, and also professional licenses tend to be reviewed as well.

    They are not performing a financial statement audit on your license…

    I know that, I just didn't want to damage it, I like to maintain my things maybe it's an OCD thing I don't know I just like to preserve my precious belongings and this congratulatory letter is one of them for sure.

    You can scan and nothing happens to the original. Scanned copies will show a light marking “void” all over

    Usually a Paper Shredder will get rid of that Pesky VOID Watermark.
