I have taken Aud 3 times only to fail…I am using Becker however I have purchased Wiley Test Bank …have anyone just use the Wiley Test Bank and passed Aud….

Have you not been using a test bank up to this point? If not, that will be a HUGE addition to your repertoire. I consider it essential to pass. I used it for FAR and did well, wasn't able to get to it for AUD and failed.

No, this is my first time . I been using Becker alone . I really feel confident since you replied . I been down since failing for the 3rd time. Thanks a lot

My pleasure. Trust me, that test bank can really help. It is brutally honest as to whether or not you know material. I was scoring in the 60's on my questions right before I took FAR. It wasn't a great feeling, but looking at all the material in question form really helps your mind understand the way you should approach remembering and applying material.

Becker has a test bank in it (it is the homework questions- it is included in your Becker), you get about 1,000-2,000 test bank questions per section. I liked Becker since i saw the exact same questions on all of the CPA tests (different $ amounts but every other word the same). I looked at Wiley test bank and so many questions are repeat (since they both get them from AICPA after a question is released). But I agree, if you fail with Becker, you need something different, maybe Wiley will tell you WHY you are not getting questions correct. All the test bank's cover the same questions but it is the explaination of the Answer that makes all the difference. Although I have not heard of anyone failing with Becker (besides online), everyone in my work takes Beacker and I have the lowest scores, nobody has scored under 90, i feel like a failure and don't tell my scores to my co-workers.

A good test bank will not only show you what you got wrong, BUT!!! it will show you that you got the RIGHT answer for the WRONG reason. That is what you want in a test bank, to tell you yes, you picked A and A is the answer but you picked it for the WRONG reason!!! So what ever does that best, is the BEST test bank for you.

I hate answers when they tell you:

C) is correct because of ……..blah….blah.

Answers A,B, and D are incorrect per the above….

The BEST test bank will not have the above reasons for the answer. It will tell you A is incorrect because you assumed X, B. is incorrect because you failed to…. D) is incorrect because you …..

@Java230 was Becker the only material that you studied …I am doing self study with Becker…what advice can you give me about passing Aud..I am waiting on my Wiley Test Bank book to arrive ..i also have Becker…what am I doing wrong …how long to study for Aud and how do I need to study …any advice would help

I've used Wiley Test Bank for AUD and passed with an 83. It's a really big help, but you still need to understand the content deeply by reading the text book thoroughly (I've used Wiley). You also might want to access the AICPA website to check out what's written on the actual audit standards if you anything is vague.

Since you've already purchased WTB, I'll tell you that WTB is fine and will help you get lots of practice in, which is really important for AUD. The wording is especially tricky for AUD, so getting in all that repetition is likely just what you need.

Read each word carefully, and make sure you understand what the question is asking before looking at the options and choosing the best answer. Key words like “always” or “never” are really important to watch for, and also “not” and “except for”– things like that change the entire meaning.

I know that WTB definitely helped me pass.
