Canceling exams as opposed to rescheduling with prometric

I am in the new post creating mood apparently…

Do you know if there is any penalties for canceling exams that are scheduled over a month from now? I canceled an exam for late February and I just want to make sure I won’t come across any surprises when I actually reschedule it and go take it. I believe I canceled an exam while back and was able to reschedule it but I haven’t actually gone in to see if I can take it. Knowing my luck I will go in to prometric and they will tell me I was supposed to get a new NTS.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

@jlondon, So far all the tests I've done are on weekends. It may just depend on the location and availability.

    A – 32, 61, 70, 83

    R – 33, 58, 73, 69, 81

    B - 33, 71, 79!
    A - 32, 61, 70, 83!
    R - 33, 58, 73, 69, 81!
    F - 47, 78! 🙂
After 3 long years, I'm finally DONE!
I could not have done it without NINJA MCQs.

In CA they offer exams on Sundays as well. At least near Sacramento.

Study Monk, there was a post about canceling vs rescheduling. The guy had an issue with his confirmation or something so you should look into it to be safe.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

    Cancel Appointment with Prometric?

A guy on this post says you can do it.

Yes, you can do it, but I read somewhere that a guy cancelled, then scheduled it for a new date, took it, and it was recorded as “no-show” because he used a different confirmation number or something like that…. so just make sure you mention it at the prometric center.

In response to Tough Kitty..I was the one that canceled an appointment and later rescheduled with new Confirmation #. The test center messed up in that they had my old confirmation # attached to my NTS. So just make sure that when you go to your appointment that your Confirmation # matches the Confirmation # that the prometric center has.

    AUD-PASS
    BEC-PASS
    FAR-PASS
    REG-PASS

jlondon – I am in California too – based in San Jose. The pro metric I go to serves the south bay area so many times the Sat's get booked up really fast. So you have to book as fast as possible.

Most of the time i actually avoid Sat as its so busy and normally the ladies there can get a bit mean. So personally I look for Monday mornings.

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !
