I’ve now failed REG consecutive windows with a 65 on both attempts. Can someone, anyone, please shed some light on how to pass this beast. I’ve used ninja audio and final review (on the second attempt).

I would honestly recommend the Ninja MCQ. They really break down the answers and tell you why the answers right/wrong. I had 4 weeks to study both AUD and REG this past window and I mainly used the MCQ and Ninja notes due to the time constraint. Just make sure when you're doing the MCQ that you understand why the answer is correct and the others are wrong. I did about 2500 MCQ, rewrote the notes maybe 10 times, and reread them more. Also, going through the Ninja Sims and tax forms can help with understanding the material as well.

    FAR 8/18/2014--87
    AUD 10/18/2014--78
    REG 11/24/2014--76
    BEC 2/28/2015--76

I am right there with you on this one and I dont quite get it either. I am going to supplement my Gleim self study with Ninja MCQs and Notes in hopes that will push me over the top like others have stated.

    AUD - 85
    FAR - 75

I went the nontraditional route professionally. I spent my first 23 years professionally as a youth pastor. My bachelors degree is in Biblical Literature. I recently took the 30 accounting/business law hours required by my state to accompany a bachelors degree to be eligible to sit for the exam.

Why I give that background information. I only have 2 (3 hour) tax classes under my belt and very little accounting classes with almost no real life business experience to speak of. That being said, the Roger CPA review has worked very well for me on my first two sections I have tested. His videos fill in the many gaps that were never covered in my college classes. (For FAR things like consolidations, non-profit, government) I feel he teaches the concepts very well, and the MCQ his course offers while small in number were on my previous two tests in high volume.

The review is a little more expensive than some, but cheaper than others. And so far it has worked well for me.

One other trick to keep your costs down, when I was first looking at purchasing review material, I PMed the Rogers facebook page and asked if there were any discount codes I could get to help in choosing them over another review material, they sent me a code for 100 off. Just a possible strategy to help you.

    FAR 10/18/14... 82
    REG 11/18/14... 87
    AUD 01/06/15... 71 Grrr 5/06/2015 ... 73 Doh 7/13/15 ... 69 Ack 11/18/15 ... 86!!!
    BEC 02/07/15... 79

Unfortunate that we can't share notes on here, but what I did was set up the format to show the components of the 1040, AMT, M1/M2/Form1120 next to each other (which will help you understand where NOL/Charitable contributions etc. go in the calculations, Corp basis vs Shareholder basis and when gain can be recognized on dividends. Basically typed them on Excel sheets to organize my thoughts and show the Mnemonics within the sheets to see how things tie in and the overall concepts needed. Gave me much better understanding of the material.

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

I went through the Becker Book and re-read the pass keys and important concepts. I also made a TON of flashcards and I also had Becker flashcards on my phone that I would study when I had a couple minutes.
