I graduated with a Hospitality Management back in 2005, worked in hospitality/customer service industry for 5 years. (Worked at Hyatt and Interstate Hotel & Resort).

I’ve always had my interest in Accounting so i decided to went back to school. Got my 2nd bachelor’s degree in accounting in August, 2013.

Currently I am taking exams and looking for a job. I submitted several resume but had trouble receiving responds from anywhere. I know i can’t even work for Big 4 since i do not have any experience in accounting or strong academic background. But i have few friends working at Big 4 and they asked for my resume. Should i give it to them or just looking for entry level accounting job? But the problem is I’ve been applying for several entry level positions but had trouble receiving responds from anywhere. Any advice?

From my understanding, if someone submits your resume for you, you can get in even without the standard background, so I'd say it doesn't hurt to give it to them and let them submit it.

However, before you do that, I'd have some people help you do a serious scrub on your resume. If you've been applying to a multitude of places and not hearing back, then your resume may need help. Also, and I sincerely don't mean this in a rude way, if the writing in your post is similar to that in your resume, then some strict grammatical editing may make a HUGE difference for you. I can't tell from your post if English is your 2nd language or if you are a native speaker without refined grammar, but either way, if your resume is similar, then a scrub from an English major friend could make all the difference in the world.
