I want to extend an arm of gratitude to everyone that has helped me in this forum, thus far.
I’ve been unemployed for a while but I recently got a BIG break when a director of Audit in a mid-size company extended me an offer for an Internal Audit position.
At that time, a bigger company I had an initial interview with, had a position of IT Auditor, which is exactly what I want to do. I spoke to the recruiter and now, this week, I will have a final interview over the phone (unusual but they considered my distance from their office). This bigger company (revenue in billions), is offering at least $10,000 more than the other company, and that’s the lower end. It can go to up to $23,000 dollars more than the competing offer.
How can I make a decision rationally? I know that in a big company, you’re just a number. Smaller company, you’re being scrutinized but have access to management. Any thoughts from people who are experienced with offers?
By the way, I accepted the offer that I got in the small company, but I have 3 weeks before I have to start.
