Hey,
I was wondering what materials do you purchase to prepare for the CISA exam and also how long would someone have to study in order to prepare for this exam?
Thanks

Yea I asked the same thing about week ago and never heard back... I've heard the stuff you can buy from the cisa administrators when you sign up for the exam will do the trick, but dang that is one expensive exam to take. I'm going to try to take it this June.
I also hope to take this test in the coming months, perhaps this summer.
Have you visited http://www.cpaexamreview.com ?
They provide study materials for different exams, and list review courses from ExamMatrix.
Also, its always good to check ebay for materials. A CISA search there lists various materials. I have some coworkers that have taken, and recommend any ISACA book.
I'm also told the CISA exam is also a paper and pencil exam, which is sorta of ironic as its about computer systems and controls.
Are your jobs doing this kind of work? Seems like you need 5 years of experience in the field to actually get certified, don't you?
Yes, its 5 years. But you can substitute various other experience into the mix. Our CISA guys are doing SAS-70 work here in our office.
