As the state board (North Carolina) has informed me that they cannot answer my question specifically until I actually send in the licensure application for approval, I thought I would see if anyone else has ever ran into this issue (as it will be weeks before I am able to compile the entire application packet).
I have just completed all 4 exams, and was now going through the licensure application to fill out the “150 semester-hour requirement” form. I know there is a rule about not being able to use the same course twice to meet the different requirements. My university offered 2 separate sessions of summer courses (Summer I and Summer II). One of those summers, I did an independent research (ACC 499) that spanned both semesters. Therefore my transcript shows ACC 499 for 2 credits in Summer I and then the same thing for Summer II.
So the question that the state board would not answer is, do you think this will be considered as counting the same class twice? Including the 4 credits for ACC 499, I graduated with 151 credits, so if 2 of those credits are discounted, I would fall 1 credit short of the 150 hour requirement.
Any insight would be appreciated!
