While I’m waiting for my final score on REG, which I’m very confident I’ll score at least a 75 when they release the score next Thursday.

I want to start up my CLEP study plan to get 18 credit hours that are needed for my license. I plan on using REA study guides on US History I & II, Western Civilization I & II and another course to be determined.

This question goes out to anyone who has previous experience with CLEP Exams. How much time should I budget for each exam in terms of study hours? I consider myself a history buff but cannot retain what I learned in college and high school. I understand a passing score of 50 is needed in most colleges that accept CLEP. Did you actually memorize and recall exact dates of events or were there a lot of guessing involve when you passed the exam?

Thanks to Lilla, I know she’s been a big proponent of CLEP Exam. lol

Hey Govtec, Glad to see you passed the other courses. I remember back in May or so you were worried about the exam as you left a few SIM's blank. Just wanted to pop around and say Good luck for Thurs!

I think it depends how big of a history buff you are. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to world history, but less so for American history as it interests me less. But I have a pretty good general idea/base knowledge of US history. I got a 53 on the us history 1 exam with under 10 hours of studying. I think if you just know where the general events fit in relation to each other in the timeline of history you're good.

Kenada – Yup, I ended up failing FAR in Q1 14 when I ran out of time on SIMS. Got back on my horse and passed it in May and proceeded to slap AUD in the face in Q3. So far I am batting 100% when it comes to predicting if I fail or pass the exam.

Jhd7 – 10 hours is not bad. If I learned anything on the CPA Exam is that I usually require up to 150% or more study time based on suggested study hours.
