    There are many posts about job market today. I am in the midst of searching jobs in public firms. I have one year experience in the industry and have helped out through the busy season for a local CPA firm. Do I have the qualification to enter the small-mid sized firms? Thanks.

    To enter as entry-level? Yes. To enter as experienced? More likely not (since you don't have much experience directly relevant to the jobs you're applying to).

    @Lilla,

    Thank you for your reply. I know that I need to start from entry-level. Shall I target on small firm or regional firm? It is not likely I can get into big 4, for they recruit entry levels on campus.

    I would apply to all of them, rather than target any one in particular. There's people who have worked in all sizes that have loved it and others who have hated it, so target all and see what happens.
