I have both the 2013 Becker BEC book and the 2015 Roger BEC Book. I find that the Roger lectures are catered more to my learning style than Becker’s lectures but the Roger Book isn’t formatted as well as Becker’s. I find that Roger’s book is more of an essay type book whereas Becker breaks it down into bullet points which is easier for me to follow. The problem I’m having is that Becker software expired so I have to used Roger system. Should I stick to using just the Roger Book or flip around in the Becker book as I go along in the lectures?

I personally like Roger's teaching style but I agree I'm not in love with the format of the book. I wouldn't necessarily use the Becker book at the same time you're watching the Roger videos because it may get confusing and then you're not paying attention to Roger but I would read through the Becker book afterwards and make more notes from there, if you wish. I normally take notes while watching Roger videos from what he's writing on the whiteboard and then follow along in his book by highlighting and making notes in the margin. My notes tend to be a combination of Roger videos, NINJA notes and MCQs.

I also like Roger but I don't use his books.. mostly because I moved in the middle of studying and I'm not sure where they are but I do take notes during the lectures because I know that is how I learn. I would stick with Roger and try making some of your own notes. The only reason I used my Becker books was because of the way they have you highlight this, etc. I failed AUD doing it that way.
