The general characteristic of transactions processed within individual transaction cycles is that:

    a. Transactions are numerous, generally similar but are processed in a variety of different ways.

    b. Transactions are numerous and vary widely in variety and type.

    c. Transactions are few, generally dissimilar but processed identically.

    d. Transactions are numerous but are generally similar and processed nearly identically.

Answer is D. Thanks to AUD, i think i have pretty clear understanding of transaction cycles, but maybe I’m just confused by the wording of the question. Can someone help me understand what the questions is asking and the answer?

just imagine you are processing transactions for sales transaction cycle. There are many similar transactions (record sale) processed the same way

So in the question “… processed with individual transaction cycles….” I should assume that by ‘individual' they mean ‘same'?

no i think they mean some repetitive transactions processed within one of the transaction cycles, such as sales, purchasing, payroll. Not sure why would they use word ‘individual', probably to just emphasize that all these transactions are within the same cycle
