I have enjoyed my cost accounting classes and would be happy to start in construction or manufacturing. If I were to start on public I wouldn’t be too picky but if they did ask industry preferences it would be those two for sure and then something that’s not retail.

My only concern with Construction is what their needs are in the winter when its too cold for work. When they might not have projects going on.

Can anyone speak from experience what its like to work in these industries? Particularly construction. I have heard some stuff about manufacturing but not anything about construction.

some construction companies are unaffected by the weather. Its going to be company specific, not industry specific.
