    Hi all,

I have just receive my scores today. I have passed all 4 section ( My last section was Audit). I received the Score notice for Audit today, they have listed all 4 sections with the expires date:

AUD ( took on August 28,2014) Credit Expires 02/29/16

BEC (took on August 16, 2014) Credit Expires 02/29/16

FAR ( took on July 16, 2014) Credit Expires 01/31/16

REG ( took on August 2, 2014) Credit Expires 02/29/16

I have passed all 4 parts, what does the expires date mean? Does it mean I need to fulfill eduction ( 150 credit hours) and experience, and ethics test before these expires date? I’m living in Virginia so it requires 120 credit hour to sit for CPA exam and 150 credits hour to get the license. Please help me.

    Thank you.

The expiration dates are 18 months from when you took the test, or the end of that month for VA (varies from state to state). I don't know the time frame for fulfilling the education and ethics requirements, if any. You wouldn't have to fulfill those by the expiration date though. For candidates who pass their final exam closer to the expiration date, those requirements would be impossible. Likely once you fulfill those requirements, you can submit your application. Some states require you to gain the experience in a certain time or your tests will expire (for example, OR is 8 years, I believe). This will vary from state to state and some (most?) do not expire. Call or e-mail your state board to get definitive answers. Congrats on passing.

Each state is probably a little different, but my scores didn't update to say “credit” until a few days later. At that time my expiration dates was removed from my page.

What I really wanted to say wa HOLY SH*T you're smart! You based all sections within a few months. Congrats!
