    I am from NY, we also had big lay off recently. The parts you passed did not count at all.

    It's firm by firm. My husband got laid off at D&T last fall, and he had completed his CPA exam a month earlier. There were managers still there who had not even attempted the exam. It's all about politics and kissing you know what.

    only firm by firm in the big 4 as far as pressure… small cpa firms are still thriving…

    SC – and yes, NYCAuditor, he and I are both at smaller firms now, and he is covered up with work year round.

    louisiana folks:

    what are the chances of us getting our scores tonight? if i remember correctly it took 2 days to get my REG score last window. any thoughts?

    Wow, that is crazy. Luckily for me I work at a small firm where we haven't laid anyone off and the firm pays for my exam and review whatever-I-want. There are 2 non-cpas (including me) of the 7 people in my office that do accounting work.
