offlineMemberI took my exam on Oct 7th and had 3 unrelated tabs plus communication and research for each simulation. Does this mean that there is a high chance that my score will be released in the second wave since I might have had the new simulations (several unrelated tabs)?

offlineadminThere's no way of knowing...only the AICPA knows if they are new. I wouldn't read too much into it.

offlineMemberOh boy, 8 days till my REG score (hopefully) comes out & 11 days till I take BEC, which will be my last exam (not even going to bother saying hopefully since I'm claiming a passing score in advance!). I felt pretty good coming out of REG (about as well as I did coming out of AUD, which I got an 84 on), but of course those "OMG did I really pass?" feelings are coming back. Happens everytime, and it's almost always the week before I'm about to take my next section. Ugh, I'm so ready to be done with this exam.

Can the research tool be helpful in putting together a memo? (e.g. Copy and Paste) Does the literature in the research tab match the communication topic?

offlineadminREG written comms are only on Tax topics up to this point...and I doubt that ever changes.
You won't have time to research anything on your REG memo. You simply won't have time @ 3 hours to get though 72 MCQs and 2 sims.

offlineMemberI see that Kentucky is listed as Independent. What is the process for scores getting released when the state is independent vs. through NASBA? I took REG on 10/20/09. Even though KY is independent, will KY candidates still get their score around the same time that AICPA releases scores to NASBA?

offlineMemberKY normally releases them in the a.m. the day after the AICPA releases them to NASBA....unless it is a Friday then you have to wait until Monday. And in the case with Auditing this wave, they did not release them until today b/c for some unknown reason the BOA was closed yesterday!

Independent just means that when the AICPA releases scores they are sent to the state and they have their own process of releasing the scores. So it depends on your state on how quickly you will get the scores. Some states are very quick in the turn around while others use snail mail. So someone from your state could probably tell you better the actual turn around of your scores but that's a general answer.

We're waiting on the AICPA to release REG/FAR...NASBA can't do anything until it happens.
NASBA could release AUD tonight....still waiting on an update on their computer issues...

offlineMemberI hate waiting for scores. I should be focusing on retaking BEC this weekend, but these scores have me bent out of shape. I need a "win" under my belt to build some confidence for this next section.
But I am grateful for this forum keeping my up to date on all the happenings with the AICPA and NASBA....great site Jeff
