Here are the breakdowns listed for the CPA exam. I’ve decided to write out all of the sections to internally memorize them and put the bulk of my time as I go through each exam.

I’m studying with Becker right now and it is much more difficult than I had expected. I’m putting in an average of 2 hours a night, probably about an hour of intense focus on studying. The comprehension is definitely progressing but not to the quality that I would like to see.

I think keeping the topics that will be tested, as outlined by the AICPA, is a useful tool and solid approach to studying. By writing it down, topics will be jump out at me, and I can tie them back into whatever section I may be studying at the time.

I wanted to share my approach as I have 77 days remaining before my exam. Best of luck to everyone. We’re on our way, to a CPA! Who better than us? Nobody.

I don't really understand your study methodology. I don't think memorizing the topics that are covered on the CPA Exam is going to help you do well on the exam. Is this your first exam? If so, it's totally normal to feel overwhelmed by it at first & not feel like your progressing. What will help you more than anything is to just keep going and do as many multiple choice questions as you can.

Also, Becker specifically focuses on the sections that are the most heavily tested. That study software in particular, doesn't waste your time with topics that don't have a high likelihood of being tested.
