I have been studying FAR for the past month and I am taking the exam at the end of August. I started out watching videos (which I like a lot), reading the book and then doing all the MCQ’s and Simulations. The problem is that I am not even half way done and I know I need 2 weeks to revise at the end. That leaves me 3 weeks to complete about 70% of the course. I feel that doing the MCQ’s trains my brain to think in a certain way, which is good for the exam. By only studying the chapter and watching the lectures, I get only about 60% of the MCQ’s correct. However, the problem is that I don’t have much time to do these MCQ’s and carry on at this pace. I will probably not be able to either complete the whole course and/or do the last couple of weeks revision (revision is extremely important for me). So, I am thinking that I will just watch the videos and study the book during the week and do random MCQ’s and simulations from each of the chapters one day during the weekend. Also, when I study and watch lectures, I try to do the question that is on the book and write the JE’s. (I do have a good understanding of most JE’s and can understand them). I think this way, I will be able to finish the course work in three weeks and also do some MCQ’s.
What do you guys think about my approach? Thank you all and keep working hard.
PS: This is my final section. My credit for Audit expires on the 23rd of November so I will have one more chance during the 4th window.
Damn you vile CPA! Victory shall be mine.
