Hi All, I have passed all 4 exams in MA but i have only 125 credits. Planning to take CLEP and few community colleges courses to reach 150.

Once I get my 150 credit what are the next steps to get reporting /non reporting license.

I read somewhere for non reporting license, requirement is 1 year of public accounting or 3 years of non public accounting. Is that true?

For past 2 years, I have been working for state dept as an Auditor. Does that qualifies as non public accounting?

What are my options going forward. Any information will be really helpful. Thank you.

The non reporting license is not an option unless you have a masters degree.

You will need public accounting experience to get licensed without a graduate degree. There is a loophole for 3 years of private experience but the criteria for what counts is VERY specific and even I couldn't qualify for it with 20 years of general ledger experience.

    Hello all!

I am preparing my application package for the reporting license and realized that my public accounting experience letter that I received from my former employer GT does not have notary public certification. It does include statements regarding the period that I worked there, number of audit hours, signature of the partner and is on firm letterhead.

Has anyone recently sent out the application for the reporting license and received a license without notarized experience letter?

    Thank you,
