Hello All,
Today I sent in my application for the CPA exam in NJ. Here is my situation. I was told I do not need to meet the educational requirement in order to sit for the exam. I was told I can take courses to satisfy the educational requirement after I pass all the exams. I saw on the application form that under option 2, I need only 15 credits at the graduate level to meet the educational requirement. I currently have 181 credits in total, I got my undergrad in Econ and Stat and my MBA in Finance. However, I am far short of the accounting credits. My accounting base is decent, as I have a CMA. Is there any chance I can get the educational requirement waived? Or will I have to take the courses after the exam to get licensure? Will my exam scores expire? Thanks for your help!
