Just curious, but how common is it for incoming Big 4 employees, who are fresh out of college, to have finished all 4 parts of the exam before their start date?

    BEC 76 (2/15)
    REG 81 (4/15)
    AUD 78 (5/15)
    FAR 81 (7/15)

I can't speak for how common it is as a whole, but from my University it would have been fairly uncommon. I used to study with some of my former classmates in the library after graduation (some social life, I know). Typically they'd have 1 maybe 2 parts done before their start date (graduate in may, start in september).

    BEC x1 - Passed
    REG x2 - Passed
    Audit x1 - Passed
    FAR x2 - Passed

    BEC: ☑ x1 attempt(s)
    REG: ☑ x2 ''
    AUD: ☑ x1 ''
    FAR: ☑ x2 ''

    Done!

Not sure how common it is, but I would strongly recommend it. The CPA exam is another academic test – being in the academic routine can only be helpful.

agreed, get it done ASAP and then just enjoy working 60+ hours and NOT having to go home to study. i finished undergrad in december and had 2 done before that

My off ice everyones start dates were in the fall so ppl had the summer to take the exams. I'd say maybe 20% had finished them all and at least half the class had passed 2 exams or so. But there were also ppl who hadn't passed any yet. Regardless it doesn't matter, that is not expected of you. It's only if you've been there for a year already and havnt made any progress where ppl start noticing but doesn't become an “issue” really until you are near the senior level.
