A 75 does not mean 75% correct. Most college scores are based on % correct and possibly curved or weighted. The way the AICPA determines a score of 75+ is based on a complex matrix that is unlike almost any other scoring method.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

Also… just think of how your Becker final reviews are scored vs your actual score. People post that they get like 10-15 “points” higher on the real exam… I would think a 75 from AICPA is like a 55-65 actual correct. I mean, just think of how hard the SIMS are, I bet people's real scores are really bad, but compared to everyone else, not that bad.

    AUD: 84
    REG: 84
    BEC: 79
    FAR: 83

Bear in mind that it does not appear to be possible to get a score of 100, even though it's possible for someone to get get 100% of the answers correct. That suggests that there's more to the exam grading than right answers vs total questions.

    REG - 94
    BEC - 92
    FAR - 92
    AUD - 99
