CPA/Information systems

I’m at a crossroads. I’m in my first professional job (also manager) and I’m doing mostly HR/IT/Tech work. I have a strong background in computing and doing this job I’ve found my love for it. I graduated in 2012 with my accounting degree, but couldn’t find this job until 2013 (March to be exact). I was working at FedEx part-time like I was during college in between. I’ve hit the ceiling in experience building and I’m also doing no accounting…(sigh).

The problem is this: I want my CPA. I also want to be in technology.

What ways can I close the gap between these professional endeavors? I hear of CISA, but I’ve not had any true experience with accounting.

I was actually studying for my CCNA the first two year of my college, but that fell aside when my studies became more important than side ventures.

Is there marketability and desire to have a CPA with a CCNA, or CISA with CCNA? I’ve not found much literature to help me try to forge a new path for me. I’m wanting a career…badly.

Thank you in advance for any help offered.

CPA and CISA go really well together, and will only get better as more and more accounting functions are being done through information systems.

Well, that's good. I have a good computer background (mostly networking) and would love to combine it with some type of accounting work as well.
