    HI Ninjas,

I would like your opinion on a dilemma I’m faced with right now.

By Feb 2015, I had passed, FAR, BEC and AUD (Passed 2x due to expired credit) and had to write REG (Failed 2x at that point) before losing FAR, which was set to expire June 2015. But I went into a March 31st Y/E at my new company and worked late and weekends. By May I was scrambling for time. Work noticed the effort I put in during year-end and gave me a few study days and I spent every waking hour on Ninja Mcqs or buried in my notes. I thought I would pass REG (3rd attempt) by May, but I didn’t and my FAR expired. I went from having only one exam left to write to having two and potentially having to re-write three exams since BEC will expire by August 22, 2015. I was miserable, down on myself and started to question whether I could really do this.

I got back into studying REG and I’m hoping to write REG (4th attempt) in July but since I’m not scoring even 70% on ninja MCQ, I may have to push it to first week of August.

I just need some advice on what to do. Here are my options:

    A) Write REG first week of Aug, hope to pass. Then Write FAR by August 22nd. That only leaves 2.5 weeks for FAR and I can take a few vacation days in between to get roughly about 70 hours of studying in for FAR.I passed it on first try almost 2 years ago after 3 months of studying, so I will be relying on my brain’s long term memory. [Most stressful and risky option]

    B) Forget about BEC expiring in August and just plan to write 3 exams. Then I could continue to study for REG and write it by end of August. Then spend 2 months studying for FAR and write it first of November after Q/E, and write BEC by end of November. [Less stressful, but equally crappy option]

Has anyone been in my shoes and managed to pull off Option A? What would you do?

    AUD - Done
    FAR - Done
    BEC - Done
    REG - TBD

The probabilty of passing FAR on a retake two years later with only 2.5 weeks of study is extremely low. However, if you have a shot at it (even though its a long shot) take the opportunity and go for it. The upside is not losing BEC. The downside is Option B, which is where you would be at anyway if you don't go for it.

    AUD - 90
    FAR - 71, 76
    REG - 75
    BEC - 76 (bubble sucks)

Given the situation I'd leave reg where it us if you haven't rescheduled and give yourself the extra time toward FAR on Aug 22. Still very risky but less risky than trying to do FAR in 2.5 weeks.
