    What are your practices/rituals/cramming methods?

I have AUD tomorrow. I have completed Becker’s material several times including final reviews, final exams and recently released AICPA questions posted within the past 3 years. I think I’ll review Becker flash cards before bed and tomorrow morning for a 2:30 PM exam time.

Funny, I have AUD on saturday.

Let's see; I go over my notes; mainly the stuff I got incorrect while doing MCQs.

Go over my memorization notebook (a notebook where I write down all the stuff I need to have memorized) and make sure I got all the stuff in there memorized; for AUD, consists of ratio formulas, rules, guidelines, etc

do another set of MCQs, prob around 100 or so

and MOST importantly, get a good amount of sleep. Being alert is key for these exams.

Good luck bud, judging by your REG score, you shouldn't have an issue.

    BEC - ✔
    REG - ✔
    AUD - ✔
    FAR - 11/29/14

CPAExcel, Ninja MCQs, and a sh*t ton of coffee

I haven't started yet so I've been able to study all day. Looking to do a few more sets of 30 MCQ or so to simulate testlets.

    Thanks 005.

Hi guys – I'm in a similar boat… my test is on Saturday. So, I was feeling pretty good until today (and please let me know your thoughts on this).

I'm going through the entire text, glancing at all the highlighted/notes sections. I'm also referring back to my memorization notebook, which I have to admit, isn't as lengthy as it was for FAR. I felt pretty good today until I pulled out the Becker notecards. I could rattle off VERY LITTLE… I mean, my brain was in the vicinity of an answer, but nothing was flowing.

Should I be freaked out???!!!! Last Thursday I took Becker's final exam and scored an 89… since then, I did the final review program. I certainly didn't have more memorized when I took the practice final.

Do you guys have your notecards memorized for AUD??? I'm not even close and it's making me feel horribly insecure… I answer these questions conceptually.

I'm wondering if tomorrow should just be 100% notecard hell…

    FAR - 90
    AUD - 91
    BEC - 86
    REG - 87

    @Sarah,

I don't think it's worth your time to memorize them for AUD. I certainly didn't for REG, and I certainly don't have them memorized for AUD. I use them as a way to check my understanding of the material–“yes, that makes sense, and I understand that” or “no, I have no idea what this is and would get any question pertaining to this wrong.”

I never ever do ANYTHING the day before the exam. Stress reduction is the greatest ally for me, one more day of studying won't do a lick for me. I either know it or I don't. Cramming can cause confusion, although some folks love to do it.

    Relax!

    REG- (1) 76
    FAR- (2) 64, (5)74, (7)83 (Over achiever!)
    AUD- (3) 70, (4) 75
    BEC- (6) 75

Seriously – thank you for your answers. I just had the most ridiculous fight with my husband because I started to freak out. Literally, lashed out over nothing.

I'm going to continue reviewing the text and my notes. I'll definitely go through the notecards once and review things that aren't ringing a bell… hopefully that doesn't happen often. Thank you for your take on it, _Nick_! That's how I'll approach the notecards from here on out.

And tomq04, I'll try to relax and avoid getting a divorce before my test tomorrow… 🙂 You're right that stress that really screw up your ability to reason…

    Carry on!

    FAR - 90
    AUD - 91
    BEC - 86
    REG - 87

If you got an 89 on Becker's final exam, I really can't imagine you're going to fail. I'd expect something in the mid-to-high 90s, honestly — you clearly know the material very well. Get some sleep, don't cram too much, and destroy the test.

LOL thanks for that. Good luck to you guys, too. I have a feeling we'll all walk out with NO idea how we did. We'll just have to keep it together until Aug. 21st…

@_Nick_ Curious as to your testing schedule for BEC and FAR? I am taking audit in about 2 weeks and also passed REG already. Are you trying to get everything done before the end of the year?

    REG - 82
    AUD - 97
    BEC - 81
    FAR - 84
    DONE!

@Greg, Because I don't start my full-time position until October 4th, I will be sitting for AUD tomorrow, BEC on the 29th and FAR on the 1st of October.

I want to give each exam a chance before starting.

So I'll be able to study for and retest for AUD/BEC in the Q4 window in the event I don't pass.
