I just received another failing score from the board.

I want to share my thoughts about “Trending Score”, “Average Score” and other practice exams from other materials. Also on the rumors about the existence of a curve.

I received Trending score of about 71% and Average of 65% in Ninja MCQ. I also received Roger CPA practice exam (just 90 sets of practice questions) about 75%. I saw many posters with similar scores and pass the exam. That got me to think that I would also be lucky.

However, it seems like that not everyone are lucky to be able to pass with this range.

I just want to say that don’t be off guarded in thinking that you could pass with 70% of practice exam (Ninja, Roger, etc) just because they’re made to be harder than the real exam. Also, hope for curve or anything as there is no such thing as curve. Its only the complications in scoring system that makes it as if there is some sort of curve. I knew there was no curve, but I believed that there was some kind of favorable special mechanism in the scoring system.

AIM FOR 85% as Jeff always suggests!!!! I had to learn the hard way to actually realize this (I recognized it before, but not realized it.. get it? sorry).. I was hoping for a luck.. mysterious curve.. Driven by apparently many success stories that ACTUALLY represent only a very small percentage ..

I hope this helps.. Especially to those too optimistic people like me out there.
