Is someone able to tell me why debt restructuring under IFRS is better than GAAP? I have a friend who has a presentation on this question but she does not know why. And I am not able to help her because I do not know as well. But I will have a better understanding than her if I were to get an explanation first before I explain it to her afterwards.

Sorry guys, I just got another message from her and apparently it's just a debate. I guess she's on the IFRS side. So I guess we can just make up an answer. Anyone have an ideas what would be a good thing to say? I am not familiar with debt restructuring under IFRS.
