    Does anyone know how Deloitte experienced hire recruitment goes? I just had a interview with a recruiter. It only lasted 10 minutes. Is it a bad sign. I was asked if I am authorized to work in U.S.. I said I would need companies to help me file h1b application next April. The recruiter did not ask questions like leadership or teamwork. They later asked pay question and asked if I have any questions. I am applying for an Audit staff position. It is in the experienced hire section of Deloitte career website, but I do not see work experience requirement in the job description and qualification.

    Sounds like a phone interview? If so- it was more of a screening than an interview. This is pretty normal. Worry not.

    Recruiters talk to candidates to make sure they are right for the job prior to passing along the resume to hiring managers. It's common for those calls to be short because some of them are just calling to ask you basic questions. And others will have a 30 minute call with you going into more details where you talk about your experience. It varies and you never know. I had barely a 10 minute call with a recruiter at BDO and I got the job.

    I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.

    All right, thank you. We will see. The recruiter said they would contact me at the beginning of next week

    Do big 4 send rejection letter? The recruiter said they would contact me at the beginning of this week. Today is Tuesday and I have not heard from them.

    Doubtful. I would expect that they would call or email or something. They typically only send letter of formal offer.

    Stay patient. I worked for Deloitte for 4 years. They are the biggest accounting firm in the country and everything takes longer. You'd be surprised how many cogs are in that machine when it comes to the simplest of things.

    Okay. Guys, recently an audit manager from another office is going to follow up with my recruiter and get more details. Will it increase my chance of getting into Deloitte?

    The last one that I effed up went like this;

    -Recruiter calls out of the blue saying they have a role for an experienced hire. They're more concerned about your people skills than anything.
    -Recruiter schedules you for a call with Manager. Usually a 20 minute call to gauge your overall experience and likeability.
    -Final Interview with Managers on-site.

    This job was taken down from Deloitte career website. And I have not been contacted. So, this job has been already filled, right?
