Didn't touch even 1 sim – REG, will I pass?

I basically screwed myself over BIG TIME. I recently took REG and did medium on the MCQ testlets, but I did not touch even 1 SIM. I know my chances of passing are slim. BUT is there still room for me to pass? Please let me know. Thank you

I like to be positive, but I'm sorry, if you really didn't do any sims, there is no way to pass. Sims are worth 40%.

from the FAQ at the end:

    8. Can I pass the AUD, FAR, or REG sections just by doing well on the multiple-choice questions?

No. The portion contribution from task-based simulations in those sections is too large. You would need to get some of the TBS questions correct in order to pass.

Make it a time management learning experience so you get some value out of it. You can't let yourself get bogged down on a few MCQs that eat up your sim time.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

My condolences, but yes since the MCQs are weighted only 60% it's really mathematically impossible to pass without touching a SIM. Time management is critical, and watching the clock/adjusting your speed as necessary is probably a good habit to get into.

It's funny though because I have the exact opposite problem. I tend to rush the MCQs to be sure I have enough time for the sims and have to slow myself down to think through MCQs that don't come to me right away. I know this costs me points and so far I haven't actually needed the extra time as I have finished most of my exams about 60 mins early. Today I finished AUD with 1.25 hrs on the clock. What this does is almost ensure I kill the sims, but at what cost? So far this strategy has served me well as I've gone 3 for 3; but with AUD I felt the MCQs were TONS harder than the sims and probably could have used some of that time to try to flag and reason through some of them. AUD was my last section so if I end up passing I'll take it and be thrilled. If I end up short, I'll definitely need to focus on slowing it down some more.

    Sorry to hear that.

What put you in this situation? Not well prepared, unexpected difficulty level of the MCQs, bad time management in terms of min/question, too many/long breaks during exam, complexity of sims?

Just pray its the pre-test sim. I managed to pass FAR having skipped a SIM, I had limited time so I guessed which one might be the pretest question. It's usually the most confusing question with multiple tabs… at least that's what Phil Yaeger said on a youtube video.

    FAR- 82
    REG- 93
    AUD- 89
    BEC- 88

You are smarter, more focused, and more brilliant than you give yourself credit for. Believe in yourself and truly know in your heart that you can do it.

Are you saying you didn't do ANY of the SIMs or you didn't get to do ONE of the SIMs (but you did the rest of them)?

    FAR - 87 2/18/14
    AUD - 84 4/2/14
    REG - 87 7/23/14
    BEC - 78 8/26/14

I'm not sure why you're anticipating the possibility of passing when you didn't even do any of the simulations. Get ready for a retake. This miracle does happen in BEC not REG

    REG -63│ 84!!
    BEC- 59│70│ 71 │78!
    AUD- 75!
    FAR- 87!

I'm sorry. Just figure out what you did wrong and don't repeat it on the retake. Sounds like you spent way too much time on mc's.

SIMS are 40% of your grade. You can't pass without getting some points there.
