Discouraged.

I took audit on the first day of July. Up to this point, I read a lot of posts people saying they passed with a 94 or even 99 in audit. I’m like, “wow. They must have studied hard or must be really smart”. It makes me feel that I did even worse on my audit exam. Does anyone have this feeling too when people posts these kind of high performing grades?

Don't let yourself be discouraged. No one has the same exam either. If you did your best, studied your hardest that is all that matters. At the end of the day the scores don't matter when you get your license. Four 75's will get you the same license as four 99's.

    @smp73, bravo!

I like how you said it….”Four 75's will get you the same license as four 99's.”

    It spirit-uplifting indeed!

    Thank you.

Just look at all the people who have failed multiple times, or all the seniors at work who don't have their license. That will make you feel better about all 75s.

I feel the same way you do “can1”, but honestly in the end I don't care about having a high score, “smp73” really nailed it, the only thing I dream of is those four “75s”, those are the magic numbers. Now the one thing that concerns me a bit (because I am felling I have to be a super genius now to pass this dang exam) is when I see posts with people taking the exam (and passing) like one or two months after one another. I am truly happy for these people but how on earth can anyone take one section and one or two months later take another and pass? I would like to know the secret…either these people don't work full time or they are truly geniuses; I work full time and struggled to study the AUD part/finish all the lectures for that section in a two months period. That does not encourage me much but I will keep trying that is for sure!

I was 100% sure that I failed my first 3 exams and if it wouldn't have been for a heartbreaking 74 I would be waiting on my final grade. I'm actually worried about my AUD grade because it is the first exam that I feel like I did well enough to pass and that worries me for some stupid reason. For this exam just getting by with the minimum is perfectly fine. Everyone feels awful about their exam until they see their passing grade.

Don't let auditing get you down!!!!!! As you can see from my scores, I had a terrible time with auditing. Especially after my 3rd attempt, I made the exact same comments about seeing others with scores in the 90's on auditing yet I couldn't come up with a successful game plan and felt so embarrassed about it. It was extremely demoralizing BUT with hard work and focused prep this exam can be conquered. If it makes you feel any better I thought I failed yet again after my 4th audit attempt and ended up with a 92. It's hard to correlate how you feel vs. your actual performance, so try not to dwell on it or compare yourself to others which is easier said then done! 😉

Focus on your next section and keep moving forward!!!! 🙂

You know what they call someone who passes the exam with Four 75s, right?

    A CPA!!!!

    Great advice by smp73.

Just look at the signatures on this forum and see firsthand how many times people have taken this exam and failed. The CPA Exam is simply a BEAST.

Rest easy knowing that you prepared as well as you could, and simply be confident when in that room taking your exam. Plus, one person's test might have had easier SIMS than another person's test.

At the end of the day, it's only a test and has no bearing on the type of person you are: whether that be a father, husband, boyfriend/girlfriend or just a loved one.

    AUD - 93
    BEC - 80
    REG - 86
    FAR - 83
