Do companies typically reimburse new CPA employees if they passed their CPA exams before getting the job. Will the employee get reimbursement for his Prep Courses?

Also, what happens if you pass the 4 exams before you get the 1 year work experience. If after passing the exams, you get a job at a CPA firm to fulfill the 1 yr work experience, would you still get a raise for passing the 4 exams?

The first question will depend on your company. The major question at hand is going to be if you signed a commitment to them prior to buying materials. If you committed to the company, and then bought materials, most places will reimburse you. I'd contact HR to inquire.

Most companies wont give you your bonus until you are officially a CPA. Once again, this is different from company to company and I would inquire with HR.

It depends on your offer letter, plenty of people at the Big4 I work at sign on with the exam done and immediately get their bonus + reimbursement for CPA related fees. Bonus is dependent on passing the exams, not obtaining a license.

ANSWER: Depends on the company. You can try to negotiate for it though
