Do I Sound Like a Ninja Notes Candidate?

    NINJA Question –

    Hi all,

I’m currently on Becker, but it seems like information overload to me so far. Based on my test taking history, I’m very much a person who would rather have less notes that teach the general concepts and then force me to apply the concepts to questions than someone who wants comprehensive notes. Does Ninja fit that bill?

Also, I have a couple of other questions. The first is if anyone has used Becker/Ninja combined and how I can do that? I am already getting Becker for free from work, but I was wondering if it’s possible to use both of those methods together somehow (don’t want to waste Becker since they’re indirectly lowering my starting salary to account for them paying for this). The other thing is, how much does Ninja cost? There are so many options on the page that I’m a bit confused as to how much I would pay and what all would be included (maybe I’m reading wrong?). If I already have Becker, what would you all recommend purchasing? Finally, if I have Ninja + Becker, do I need to purchase a Wiley Test Bank as well if I just want to pass and am not gunning for the 95 award?

    Thanks!

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 76 (phew)
    BEC - 88
    REG - 77

    DONE!

I used Becker and that was all I needed for most of the parts. But for my third attempt with FAR I added NINJA notes and re-wrote them in the order that Becker has the topics. And I re-read them over and over. I also added Wiley Test Bank, mostly because I was memorizing the Becker questions. By adding these two things to Becker I increased my score by 22 points. As for the cost I don't remember exactly, Jeff could probably help you with that. Good luck!

I thought NINJA was a fantastic supplement to my Roger course and a big reason why I was able to pass. It condenses the information which allows you to quickly refresh on a topic you are struggling with. Highly recommended.

    The audio was good too!

I bought the Ninja Notes for REG and FAR. I took REG twice since then but really didn't use them much because I felt like they were too simple for me, I needed more details and I felt the Becker Final Review was more helpful. I did review parts that I lacked knowledge in the ninja notes, which helped like all the different Acts in regulation. I remember last time I took FAR I had the Ninja sample which was the Government and not for profit stuff and I thought that was great but still picking and choosing what areas benefit me most. If you know the concepts well and review with ninja at the end, they will re-enforce the concepts but don't try to tie in Becker to Ninja while studying, you'll be lost. Just my two cents, however I think the ninja audio are great. Short and helpful, only tried them for REG though.

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

NINJA notes are great after you finish your main review course. In the last two weeks, switch back and forth between MCQs and NINJA notes. I heard audio is also great but I have a short commute to work and I can't be listening to headphones at work. Also, remember that “hiya” and “facebook” are discount codes on another71.

I like the Ninja Notes to kickoff my final review of a section. I use CPAexcel and like to rewrite the Ninja Notes after I complete all the material. It helps to refresh a lot of the oldest material. And then it helps me hone in on the stuff I don't feel comfortable about. Plus Jeff provides a few tips and tricks throughout, which are helpful.

Get it over with and stop agonizing. The benefits far exceed its incremental cost. Jeff has a no-bs satisfaction policy, but you won't need it because the material will help you significantly.

It's been six days since your post, I hope you got the notes/audio package already. Report back.
