Do Ninja Notes cover most topics in actual CPA exams?

    Hi everyone,

I have becker review with me, and feel like a lot materials seem too detailed and redundant! I found many of them are NOT covered by Ninja notes. So I’m wondering if Ninja notes cover most topics in a CPA exam (say 90%)? Can I just skip those materials that are not mentioned in the notes?

    Thanks a lot!!

They are a supplement and cover the topics on the CPA Exam, but don't drill down into them like a text book, which is not their purpose.

As a rule of thumb, you don't need to know everything in your book, but you do need to know everything in the ninja notes.

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

My advice – memorize as much from the Becker books as possible, especially the “pass key” sections because Becker knows what they are talking about……and ancillary material is very important too, in some cases………..

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

The biggest advantage I have found that the Ninja notes/audio provides is that often the topics just don't really click in my head when I read it in the textbook or hear it from the Becker audio and Jeff has a good way of presenting those items in a different/easier to understand way.

To add to DC ^ I like to say NINJA is written in human language and review courses are sometimes still in accounting lingo. Sometimes hearing the same thing in human makes all the accounting click 🙂

CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    FAR - 53('10), 8/25/12 79 PASSED!
    REG - 66('11), 69('12), 12/06/12 77 PASSED!!
    BEC - 58('10), 74('12), 01/05/13 77 PASSED!!!
    AUD - 43('11), 66('12), 69('13), 74('13) 7/29/13 85 PASSED!!!!!

(Combinations of Roger, Yaeger, Wiley Book, Wiley TB, & NINJA Notes)

I agree with DC. Especially with the AUD notes, there were some things that just weren't clicking and the Ninja notes simplified some things so that I could understand them better.
