Do you re-watch the lectures after doing over 2000 MCQs?

I used to think the lectures were the most wasteful use of time but now I disagree with my previous thoughts on them.

With AUD I viewed only the lectures in areas I was weak in the weekend before the exam. That + a weekend of 1000+ MCQs boosted my score 23 points. With REG I am watching the whole course again while doing 100 MCQs a day. I watch the Roger lectures in random order and speed them up to run 2x as fast to cut down on time. I write my own notes along the way for things I do not have clarity on.

The thing is it is making a whole lot of sense now and the information is clicking the second time around.

On my first REG try I finished the lectures and had under 10 days to really drill down on questions. I was just hunting around trying to pick up facts instead of understanding the material. The lectures do not seem to be so bad now.

Anyway, has anyone else done this and gone back to lectures? Did it work?

The only lectures I watched more than once were on subjects I really struggled with. Government Accounting and Not For Profit Accounting were two of those and I really believe that rewatching those lectures turned those subjects from ones that I didn't understand at all into one of my greatest strengths.

For BEC I rewatched some of the Financial Management lectures since I've always struggled with that. I still don't like Financial Management but I think it helped a lot.

Other than that I just practiced MCQ over and over and over again. I believe the lectures are very valuable for laying down a foundation so you definitely need to watch them once but unless you really struggle with the concepts you are better off just practicing MCQ. But if you do struggle with concepts, by all means, give the lectures another go because a lot of times hearing it again will help that information to “click.”

No, go back and read the books if anything. I usually skimmed back through the entire book the week before the exam. Of course, throwing MCQs in there constantly.
