I have my AUD exam on August 23 and I just began to study 🙁 Unfortunately I can’t reschedule because I’ve rescheduled once already. My plan starting tomorrow is to study between 25-30 hours per week up until Aug 23. Here’s my plan:

Monday – Friday = Wake up at 5 am and Study for an hour, Study for an hour during lunch break 12:30 to 1:30pm, and study for 2 hours after work each day. = 20hours

Saturday = study from 8 am to 12pm

    Sunday=Study from 7pm – 9pm

My study plan is to study 2 chapters a week in Wiley, do some MCQs, and do some notes.

Am I overdoing it, I have 4 weeks to study and I want to pass first time around. Also, any recommendations on what to focus more on and what to focus less on in the Wiley book would be helpful

I'm taking AUD on August 28th and I'm starting my study plan tomorrow. 4 weeks is perfect for AUD- 2 chapters per week, with one week to review. I have found that one week is all you really need for BEC and AUD because the amount of material is not as vast as FAR or REG. Make a concrete study plan and stick to it…the beauty of a condensed study schedule is that you know it will be over soon.

That seems doable to me. As far as what to focus on, I would say to make sure you are paying attention to the AICPA CSOs. Also, if you look at what is likely to be a SIM, the areas that *won't* make good SIMs are therefore likely to be more heavily tested as MCQs.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I am taking AUD on 8/30 and will begin studying on Sunday, August 3 (going on vacation until then), giving myself just under 4 weeks. I've taken it before and came within 5 points of passing, so keep that in mind, but I think it is doable as long as you are diligent. Honestly, everyone is different. I know people who crammed for FAR for two weeks and passed, and there are others for whom that would never work.

    BEC - 72, 82! ✓
    FAR - 80! ✓
    AUD - 70, 92! ✓
    REG - 74, 78! ✓

Some people get AUD and some don't. Four weeks should be more than enough if you get it.

I did it in 13 days, beginning to end. I logged about the same amount of hours during the week and not much at all on the weekends.

It completely depends how well you already know the material – is this really a review or do you need to “learn” it from scratch?

I had to learn from scratch. I spent 2 1/2 months full time with audit – watching videos, taking lots of notes, going over MCQ's several times and also spent a lot of time trying to understand transaction cycles.

Even after that much studying, I barely passed with a 75 (when I walked out of the exam, I was convinced that I had failed)

So it really depends how quickly you can grasp it.

    FAR - 86 - 2/27/14
    AUD - 75 - 5/29/14
    BEC - 80 - 8/31/14
    REG - 89 - 2/27/15
    Praise Jesus! I'm done!!

I agree with Tux. I thought I was going to get 90+ when I walked out. I was shocked to see that I narrowly passed. You never know your score until you actually get your score.
