The official word is if you're not doing well in the first testlet, the second gets easier and if you do well in the first the second gets harder. Third is always medium and SIMS are predetermined.

    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

I've never seen any evidence that it targets weak or strong areas. The testlets are pre-set and in theory are randomly selected from a pool of “hard” or “medium” based on the prior score, but I haven't seen any evidence that it selects topics based on prior performance on those topics. It can feel like it because you see your weak topics a lot, but I didn't see it targeting those areas due to performance on a prior section.

If the test was smart like that, it wouldn't give you repeat questions in later testlets.

AICPA is sadistic. But not that sadistic.

If you want a topic to be on the exam, don't study that topic

I've found this to be true everytime. Lol

    BEC-60's,60's,69,71,76*,78
    FAR-67,66,65,79
    AUD-54,60's,65,83*,69,80

I've never heard of the test actively targeting weak areas based on your answers.

You can get “medium” or “hard” second / third testlets based on your responses, but as @Lilla said above, I'm pretty sure they get pulled from a test bank. That would probably explain why some people have gotten duplicate questions during an exam.

There were a couple of times where I felt like the tests were attacking my weak areas, but there were just as many times where I was given a string of questions on a topic I knew very well.
