Hi:

Wait until Monday to try.
So if it lets you re-register, you went in and found that AUD was not grayed out anymore? I don't know the specifics for Puerto Rico, but I checked out the site and it looks just like the NASBA states. I had that happen to me last time and got a 74. I don't have the nerve to check the loophole. If I check it and can re-register, I'd be sick the rest of the weekend. I am quite confident I passed, but I still feel horrible about this wait. I think it's completely unfair that other states are already receiving their scores. Whatever happened to UNIFORM CPA exam?
@GSU Josh- I am waiting for REG still, and that score might not come to the NASBA website until Wednesday, maybe later. It is indeed sickening. Furthermore, it is possible that I am in wave 2, and would have to wait until late September! It's making studying for FAR unbearable.
But, does the loophole works for all the states???
Some people claim that it hasn't worked for them (NY is one I think), but the majority say it works. It's always worked for me. How did you feel about your test? Do you think you could have failed it?
I'm in NY and it worked for me last window.
Jeff, does the loophole always work??? I'm feeling very bad. I am from Puerto Rico, does it wor'?
Are you in a NASBA jurisdiction? If you could go in and check the AUD box, it doesn't look good. I'm sorry. This is why I can't get the nerve to check it.
@Christian - I'm in a NASBA state (Massachusetts) and the loophole did NOT work for me.... It allowed me to re-register for all of my parts but I clearly passed BEC...... and I haven't sat for 2 parts yet and I'm waiting on a score..... I'm not sure how it works in Puerto Rico. Good luck!!!
IF the loophole still works... it woudn't work until Monday morning/afternoon I believe. There is no sense in worrying about it until then... if I were you I would just wait until your score is posted.
I know, but I want to know if the loophole has been wrong in occasions. Is this really reliable?
The loophole is never wrong. It's like saying, is the score that NASBA shows you wrong (you know, the one we constantly press F5 for at 9pm on release night)? It is NASBA data - if they have information that you did not pass, then it will let you reregister.
Where it can be inaccurate is when they don't have your scores loaded, but you are assuming that they do when you're checking the loophole. This is where it becomes tricky - if NASBA doesn't have your score loaded, then you can get various responses from the loophole that can constantly change from day-to-day. The fact is, there's no real way for sure to tell that NASBA has loaded your score. Candidate A could have their score loaded, and Candidate B might not have their score loaded until a day or two later. Candidate B could even call NASBA and ask "do you have my score loaded?" and their answer could not even be the final word. You just don't know for sure.
What if you have an extended expired NTS and NASBA has not yet uploaded the scores. Could this mean that it would show as "available" and let you re-register the section now...but then on the morning of the actual upload, your status would change from being availalbe to being grayed out? I'm sure the reverse would have to be true right? Let's hope.
It does not always work for NY. Not sure what other states is does not work for. Also, they need to post scores before you can check. Checking before the score has been posted does not give you an accurate response.
Christian - what time yesterday morning did you initially check the loophole? I remember last quarter, I checked at 6:30am on Saturday morning (scores were released Friday) and it would not let me register. Then I tried again at 8:00am and it let me register. And, what do you know, 72. Something was updated on Nasba website between 7 and 8 in the morning.
This time I can't register so I hope that is a good sign. But as some people state, it doesn't always work. I am in NJ.
also, did you check Oasis to see if your application / score was received?
I tried it at 7 am. Then I tried at 2 pm and it allowed me to re-register. But I'm from Puerto Rico. Also, I don't know because if the AICPA released the scores on Friday, Nasba doesn't load the scores until Monday. How can the system indicate that I failed? How can they have my score already if they upload the scores Monday at 8 pm?
I think they are loaded around 7-8am in the morning after they are released. Nasba does not post the scores until the 1st business day after they are released. I didn't think it was possible to load on Saturday morning, but it definitely held true last quarter for me in NJ. PR may be different.
Go to Nasba and click on Exams and then go to "PR" and then click on "Application" and enter your jurisdiction ID and birthdate. What does it say?
It states the information about another nts that I applied
so maybe you are ok. It has to state the NTS for which you applied to audit. For example, I applied 6/22 and it states on Oasis that my application date is 6/22. Since its my last part, I know its for audit. Maybe your ok then.
The NTS was for REG. AUD was part of an NTS that included FAR and BEC. Do you think I will be ok?
I honestly don't know, did you get your results for REG NTS? They may not have your results yet? You will know for sure tomorrow night anyway.
No, I will take REG on OCT. I am praying so much. I feel terrible right now. Thank you so much.
What does the Oasis say? It should not tell you your scores are received if you haven't taken REG.
No, it just says that my nts was processed. It does not talk about scores.
Alright guys, I know that every time that I post something you think that I'm stressed out and that I always keep thinking about the past exams. I am that way. I am equal to each and everyone of you. If you know that you will receive your scores in a matter of days, I bet that you will start feeling sick and nervous, just like me! I took AUD and I thought that I passed it. I tried to reregister yesterday in the morning and it didn't let me. I tried at 2 pm and it allowed me to reregister.
My thinking is that the AICPA released the scores on Friday and Nasba will post them on Monday. How does NASBA has the scores uploaded in the system and why they don't release the damn scores? I think that they have the scores but they haven't uploaded them.
I feel like sh*t right know. I am from Puerto Rico. I don't know if the stupid loophole works here. I just want to know if the loophole have been proven to be wrong to someone, that's it.
christian2823,
I seem to recall someone saying they could reregister and she ended up passing. The best thing to do is wait until tomorrow night and see the official score from NASBA. The loophole has always proven true for me, but I've never done it on the weekend and I am in SC. If you didn't pass, it sucks but it's not the end of the world. I hope the loophole is wrong and you passed.
I'm from Puerto Rico also, I'm taking FAR tomorow and im really anxious, as is my first part and has the reputation of being the hardest. Anyway, i hope you receive a passing score!
Thank you herbert
