Finally! I used Roger and Wiley for all 4 parts. Bought Roger review course in 2009. Didn’t watch the videos for any of them. I just read the text book that Roger provided and did the Wiley MC questions 2 -3 times. I’ve never studied more than 2 months for each exam. Just intense studying for short period, but that’s just my style. 🙂

For all four parts, I never paid much attention to the SIMS HW questions. My reason is that, to me, SIMS questions are generally very vague, and can cover a variety of subjects. I figured that if I understand the materials enough, I should be able to do the SIMS. Ironically, I have never been ‘weaker’ on any of my SIMS, it was either Comparable or Stronger, with mostly Comparable.

Anyways, good luck to all of you that are still in the field of battle. It will pass, pun intended. You can count on it, pun intended, again. 🙂

@CannotPassAgain: I usually study about 2 – 3 hours on weekdays. I usually stayed in the office and study (assuming I dont go out to clients), due to proper lighting, quiet environment (everybody's gone by 5 – 6pm) and a good supply of food and water. And another 4 hours each day on Sat and Sun.

During the 1st month of study, I usually take it slow and during the 2nd month of studying I tried to study real hard.

When I failed FAR, I realized that there is such a thing called brain overload. I studied hard during the last week before the exam, and when the time comes, my brain was fried. I was too tired and couldnt be bothered to think for the answers for most of the questions.I walked out knowing that I failed and I failed indeed with a 72. 🙁

Oh, I also consider myself to have a short attention span, since I can not study for more than 45 minutes straight without taking a break. hahahaha.

@tmd that's completely normal. often times i find myself day dreaming or checking out hot girls when i'm at Starbucks trying to get some studying done. i finally deactivated Facebook, but i still find studying distracting. i'm still having a hard time finding a good spot to study that works well w/my work hours.

i'd love to study at work, but the downside is there isn't any food at work. i usually pack a sandwich and eat that during lunch, and i'm starving by 5pm. there's no way i could stick around at work for another 3-4 hours without starving to death. i don't even wanna consider the idea of eating out — chinese fast food is $9.80 here in the city!

Is there any chance your subject line is a reference to Charlene Darling?

@CannotPassAgain: LOL @ checking out hot girls cause I do the samething! As for food, I usually bring instant noodles that I eat at 5pm, just right before I study. That instant noodles are awesome, not the healthiest food on earth, but it kept me going!

@katiekanton: No, I didnt even know who Charlene Darling is until you mentioned it. Haha.
