Has anyone ever received an email from the VSCPA or of the like congratulating them on passing the CPA exam? I’ve received numerous emails in the past but all have said congratulations on working towards becoming a CPA. I received the email Friday afternoon. Should I be celebrating early?? No matter what I won’t believe it until I see the score but this was my last section and I can only hope I truly am finished. I’m just curious if anyone has had a common experience.

Not in VA, but saw a thread about this the other day, so thought I'd share: https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/passing-score-1

Not sure that they came to a conclusion, but at least you're not the only one! 🙂

I don't think they know your score. AICPA hasn't released the scores to NASBA, and it's NASBA who notifies your state board. That said there's no harm in beginning a celebration now.

It could depend. The VSCPA may have a contact at the AICPA. The person emailing was the member relations director at the VSCPA. Just a theory.
