Hi All,

I am wondeing if I can take an Ethic Test before I pass all 4 parts.

I’ve noticed a couple of times someone posted his Ethic Exam scores while still waiting his final one.

Can I take Ethic exam anytime before I pass all four part?

I am California Candidate.

It depends on your state. Maybe someone from CA will see this and come give you an answer.

I'm in CT and they told me it was ok to take the ethics exam before finishing the CPA exam. Just email the CA State Board and ask them. Unless someone else from CA sees this and can answer your question.

Which ethics site do you guys recommend? I was about to purchase from cpestore.com, but I'm a little confused on how the exam part goes. It's only $39 and it includes the exam and the pdf file of the course. I'm in Ohio and this is listed as one of the approved coures on the states accountancy website.

qwerty113, you CAN take the Ethics exam at any time, but an 18month or 2year clock starts running between Ethics Exam pass date and licensing date. That is, unlike the CPA exam where it never expires once pass in the 18-month window, the Ethics Exam will expire if you do not obtain your license within a specific time frame.

If you are paying for it, you can get a free CalCPA membership and then get a discount for being a member 🙂
