Hi Everyone,

Can anyone share their experience with the Ethics portion of the CPA License requirement. Maryland & Virginia requires that this be completed for licensing (just thinking ahead & hoping I passed that REG exam on Monday)

Do you have to be a member of AICPA? Which version is better the CD Rom or Text?

You don't have to be a member of the AICPA, you'll just pay less if you are. I am not, but was able to get the same pricing as if I were through my state society (which I am a member of). Therefore, you should see first if you can get it from your state society.

I am also a VA candidate, do we get a letter from VA board after we pass the 4part exam or any certificate??

Is License application a compulsary thing?? I mean what if I don't work under firm or practice public accounting?

I am so confused 😕 I thought just passing was pain in the a**. I am an international candidate on a Visa in US.

Sorry for my delayed response. I Did not see the post.

I can't say for Virginia because I am actually a CA candidate and will be transferring my scores to Virginia after my Education evaluation.

I bought mine straight from the AICPA (didn't think to check through my state society). I bought the CD version, but wish I would've just got the book. I think the answers would've been easier to look up. It took me about 4 hours total to complete.

Did you read the entire book before doing the exam?. I just got my book and I really don't want the read the entire thing.

@candyjohn007 Thanks for replying back. I ended up calling my VA board and they helped me out 🙂

I ordered the Aicpa CD and not yet opened it.How many days to prepare for Ethics exam? Or is it something done in like one day?
