Hey everyone, I just took my first Becker Final Exam and here are the results:

    MULTIPLE CHOICE

    – Testlet 1: 24/30 (80%)

    – Testlet 2: 26/30 (86%)

    – Testlet 3: 23/30 (76%)

    SIMULATIONS

    – Sim 1: 5/10 (50%)

    – Sim 2: 4/5 (80%)

    – Sim 3: 5/8 (62%)

    – Sim 4: 8/10 (80%)

    – Sim 5: 14/16 (87%)

    – Sim 6: 1/5 (20%)

    – Sim 7: 1/3 (34%)

    (80+86+76)/ 3 = 242/3 = 80.67 x .60 = 48.4

    (50+80+62+80+87+20+34)/7 = 413/7 = 59 x .40 = 23.6

    48.4 + 23.6 = 72

That would be approximately a 72 right? Well, according to the (MCQ average x .60) + (SIMS Avg x .40) formula I’ve seen used. Is this the way that people typically score the Becker Final Exams?

I was wondering what anyone who has passed or scored highly on Audit recommends for the last week? I have only used Becker so far ( don’t have Ninja MCQ), and have gone through the HW one time (and have done none of the simulations or optional problem sets). I’m guessing a lot of people will recommend doing a lot of MC’s per day + review the MC’s done. I know it’s different for everyone, but is there a recommended amount to do each day? I’m basically trying to come up with a game plan, and I’d be willing to get the ninja MCQ for those that think it’ll help significantly.

Thanks to everyone! I lurk here all the time as I’ve been studying for CPA exams, and it helps so much to have a community to go to. I hope everyone who is studying for Audit is staying strong! 🙂

based on what you posted, it looks like your sims score was weaker.

first step, rework the sims in the homework, and if you didn't work them at all, work them now. If you didn't do the optional practice questions, do them now.

your MCQ score was good – 80, it was the sims that pulled you down.

make sure you know the mnemonics for the letters. there were several different types of letters/reports and you need to know the differences.

if you think more questions from a different test bank will help you, then go for it. you said you didn't work all the questions /problems in the test bank you had. I think that's where you start.

do that for 3 days, then re-evaluate. That still gives you a week for another study guide if you decide to go that route.

    BEC - 8/8/16
    REG - 66, 77
    AUD - 81
    FAR - 9/8/16

I agree with @livealittle regarding possibly adding another test bank if you can spare the cash and won't let it freak you out. Now may not be the time to focus on any one section but to keep the momentum going by tying it all together. Sounds like you're doing well at this stage in the game. Keep it up!
