Exam Scheduling Tips?

I scheduled my first exam (BEC) for July 1st. I just received my NTS for REG & FAR. I was thinking of scheduling REG for August 31st and FAR for October 31st which gives me two months to study for each. Ideally, I would schedule AUD for late November or Early December so that I can leave the next window open for retakes (If I need to take any). I see that in Becker FAR has more material than REG, should I give myself more time for it?

    FAR-October 2016
    AUD-Nov/Dec 2016

I took 12 weeks to study for FAR, about 8-9 for REG and 6 for BEC.

FAR is A LOT of information and you basically have to know how to do everything the GAAP way and the IFRS way.

I was thinking that I might need more time for FAR too. I have read a bunch of threads of people that have only needed a month or so for FAR and people that have need three months like you. I am in the middle right now. I am putting in about 20 hours of studying per week. What was your study pattern like? I can use all of the advice I can get. I still haven't taken my first exam so I am really new at this.

I did a chapter a week and tried to make sure I did a progress test each week also to keep on top of the older material.

The bad thing to me is that the material is so much you cant really say to concentrate on a few things. Becker made me practice and practice things making me think I would get 4-5 questions on the topic, but I saw at most 1 if that for some of their major ones.

Perez, I think 2 months for each exam is a good plan.

FAR has a lot of materials to cover, but a lot of the materials might not be in the test.

You can speed through all the chapters fast, and then go back and focus more time on the important chapters.

Thanks for the feedback. I am really in between now. I have not scheduled yet. I hope to by next week.

I think studying for 3 months for FAR is the safe route.

The only reason why I feel that 2 months is sufficient is because I took the test earlier this week, so I now know what to expect.
