My First FAR exam is tomorrow and i am so nervous and I think I am getting sick… go its a understatement when I say I am getting worried….

I spent all day working on becker Progress test… (out of 100 mqc) i been scoring low to mid 80s… and simulations I basically know how to do about 80-85% of them…. how should I spend the reminder of my day (an possibility early morning tomorrow)..

I have no idea what to expect and how I will do 🙁

Usually the day before the exam, I don't do anymore MCQs. I just keep going over my notes and try to relax for the rest of the night. Don't stress yourself out, especially the night before the exam. Make sure to get a good nights rest.

Im taking my first exam on Friday so I am curious to see others' responses as well. My plan for the last day and a half is to do some more progress tests and if I see any weaknesses, I will go back and do a quick review of that material. Other than that, I am going to review journal entries a bunch and pray.

    Best of luck tomorrow!

Good luck everyone. FAR was my first exam and I remember the feeling of not having a clue what to expect. As others have said, just do whatever you can to stay relaxed. I like to spend maybe an hour or two doing MCQ's the day before then the rest of the day I review notes (I always take off the day before an exam). I stop studying around 8pm and make sure to get a good night of rest. The day of the exam, I do a quick review of my notes and I watch how much water I drink… very closely. I don't like to lose time for bathroom breaks.

Watch your time during the exam. Especially on the first exam. Have a plan for each testlet and stick to it. If you must guess on 2-3 MCQ's, that's okay. I think I guessed on about 3-4 questions just to stay on track with time. You don't want to get to the SIMs and panic with no time left.

Also, after your exam, RELAX. Don't beat yourself up if you think you did poorly. I literally felt like someone kicked me in the stomach after FAR. I was 99% certain I failed and I received an 82. From that point on I promised myself I would never bother to guess how I did after an exam. Don't assume you did great or horribly, just stay level headed as much as possible and wait for the results.

    Good luck!!!

cpatel suggest you review _____ if you want…otherwise relax and don't fret. Once you get in there, just do the best you can and stick to your plan. It's just a test…once you start you'll be in a zone.

    @ CPA1FRESH

Be honest I have no idea…. i think i did well in the MCQ …. i noticed hard questions so i am taking that as a good positive sign…

but when it came to the sim… i totally blanked… it was like nothing I prepared for or what Becker had…. so I don't know … at this point just having fingers crossed for a 75+

@cpatel – What's done is done. I know it's easy for others to say, “Oh, it's over. So, it is what it is.” However, just know that you were hopefully more prepared than the other candidates and know that you did your best. At the end of the day, that's all that matters.

Also, rest assured, almost everyone blanks on some aspect of the Sims. Goodness knows I do on every test I've ever taken.

    Good luck!
