So I’m a recent 300 club member (license still pending), and I’m starting to think about leaving public accounting. I’m afraid of getting pigeonholed into tax if I stay too long, since i’m still not sure that i want to do tax the rest of my life. i’m just about to be promoted to senior, and i think i still want to stay a year to have that on my resume. aside from going private/industry, i’m wondering what are some other jobs/careers that i could use my CPA for… not necessarily typical “accounting” jobs either. i currently work in financial services tax, so im thinking maybe some other career in financial services but open to other industries as well.

what do you all think? any ideas?
