Hello everybody I have a questionon the certification process in the state of AZ. I passed all the tests and have been going back and forth with the AZ State Board of Accountancy and the admin assistant will not pass on my packet to the next level because my supervisor answered no on the following question.
"Has the candidate had experience reporting on financial statements by expressing an opinion, per R4-1-343(A)(4); ie. oral or written communication of results of examination to employer, client or third party?"
My contention is that I have never expressed an opinion on financial statments because that is done in an audit (I don't have an auditing background). Am I missing something here. I marked yes on:
Evaluation, recording and summarizing accounting records
Preparing financial summaries
Management Advisory Services
I also marked yes on "Has the candidate had experience examining financial statements per R4-1-343(A)(3); ie critical inquiry and analysis of balance sheets, income statments, cash flow statements, tax returns, etc?"
I don't see why answering no on the question about reporting would not qualify my experience. Can somebody let me know if I am missing something here?
