I have never heard this, but if you are working under a CPA, probably. You mostly just need a CPA to sign the form.

    Florida CPA!
    Took final exam 2/25/15.
    Sent in Application 3/12/15.
    Issued License 3/20/15.
Used CPA Excel solely for all exams.

In some states, yes. In other states, no. In MA it would not count.

Yup in some states. You just have to work under a CPA. It'll be a non reporting license since you don't have that public acctg experience doing audit. Check your state's requirements just I be sure.

Does anyone know if working as an A/P clerk under supervision of a CPA counts as experience in either Kentucky or Ohio?

    FAR: 84 (11/14/14)
    AUD: 90 (01/15/15)
    BEC: 82 (02/24/15)
    REG: 81 (05/09/15)

    MBA: 12/21/10
    CPA: 07/16/15 (KY)
    CMA: TBD?

@Samwise I didn't see this post till today, hopefully you're still checking back – in KY, it would count provided that a CPA would sign off on it. Part of my experience was as an A/R clerk.

However, if your job is simply data-entry, then it might not, so I would make sure that you're taking on any duties you can that are more accounting-like. Some clerk jobs are very data entry whereas some are not, so that's why I add this.

@alfred-dark For CA candidates, you can work in A/R or A/P under a CPA to obtain your general experience license.
