    Hi Everyone,

So I am getting close to finally being done with these exams (last one is BEC on 8/31!), and I’m trying to get everything in order for my full application & receiving my license. I’m in New York State, so I went the 150 credit route, and my education experience is completed. Once my exams are done, the last thing I need is the experience requirement. I have been working for a large bank for a few years now and am a fund accountant. Most people in my department don’t have/go for their CPA license, and for this reason, I’m kind of going through this process on my own. My old department head (worked over me for 2+ years in this department) is a CPA, and I am going to ask him to certify my experience.

So.. I’m looking at this form (Form 4b- the Certification of Employer Form), and my question is, in section #6, where it says “Percentage of Time,” are these supposed to add up to 100%? I know I’m not the one filling out this form but I’m just trying to understand how this is supposed to be filled out/how it should look in order to be considered ‘adequate.’ I’ve done a ton of googling on the topic and from what I see, the AICPA purposely does not give exact guidelines or minimum requirements for this form, so that people don’t aim to fulfill a prescribed set of checklists. However, I was wondering if anyone has done this already/knows someone who has and is in a similar situation and can give me a bit of insight?

Thanks so much in advance, I really appreciate any info I can get on this!

    FAR - 2/27/14 : 95!!!
    AUD - 5/1/14 : 94!!!
    REG - 7/6/14 : 92!!!
    BEC - 8/31/14 : 90!!!

    OFFICIALLY DONE!!!

Oh Wow…awesome scoring! that's how I filled it out. Just remember it can be in any combination as long as its equal or greater than one year. Also on a side note…they have to notarize and mail the form. The form can not be mailed by you. Good luck on the last hurdle of this journey.
