Did anyone else have trouble with F2 mc?

I havent had these many qs wrong with any other ch in AUD or REG. I get scores of 0% and 15-20%. I read the chapter and watched the lectures, not sure what Im doing wrong.

What's F2 for those of us who never used Becker?

I remember that the matching/ timing revenue questions were real tough. Also the non monetary stuff gave me trouble. Don't worry about your scores. Just push on and get through the material.

Becker F2 for FAR is simply beastly. EVERYONE has trouble with it the first time through. Just keep working the MCQ and make note of your mistakes and then rework all the problems. It's really the only thing you can do.

But, yes, it's universally agreed from those of us in the Becker program that F2 is one of the most soul crushing chapters (especially during the first pass).

Well this made me a little depressed! I'm starting on F2 on Monday after I finish my sims in F1. I was feeling pretty good since my MCQ HW was an average of 81% and the 2 Sims I did I'm at 91%. Thanks for the heads up tho that I might feel less optimistic after F2!

get ready because F2 – F7 were the toughest chapters for me also. F10 was kind of hard also. But like everyone mentioned, it gets better the 2nd or 3rd time you go through them. :/

I definitely wish I was one of those people who got all 4 exams done in 4 months, but unfortunately LIFE (being a newlywed, stress, adjusting to newlywed life and cpa exam study life, as well as starting a job with a Big4 which I am very happy about) got in the way, just happy that I am passing period!!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

Well at least im not the only one that felt this way or I'd be even more depressed! Thanks for all the responses, lets get to studying!

FAR 2 sucks man. If it makes you feel better, my friend who got a 760 on the GMAT and a 96 in BEC was getting 50s on that + the gov homework (we both do it without looking at the book, but still). The homework scores are so inconsequential IMO. I hardly ever got that nice green checkmark you get from scoring at least 80% on the homework, (topics Becker claims are a “deficiency” in your understanding), but I still have yet to fail a section and passed FAR with an OK cushion.

If I were you, I would focus on understanding the higher level concepts and then whatever details stick, stick. It's really not worth beating yourself up over some of the minutia that Becker loves drilling you on. The thing I really hate about Becker is that they stress the details too much and are way too general about some of the higher-level concepts and how to apply them. If you're scoring at least 70ish on easier topics and 60+ on most of the difficult topics with Becker without using the book, I'd say you're within passing range.

It takes a while to get your mind thinking that way, especially if you just took REG. Took me two weeks of redoing the MC's and some real deep mental thinking , I think you'll see huge learning curve tho once you put in the time.
